pachi mono

about

pachi mono is a labour of love by one man (candyflip) with plenty of other people's opinions thrown in. I studied Japanese while living in Japan between 1992-94, and still read and write some, and speak when I can, althought my ability has diminished as the years have advanced.. I have remained fascinated by pachinko however, at the same level, for 15 years since. My last journey to the home of pachinko was in 2009.

pachi mono covers mechanical and older styled pachinkos based roughly on the Masamura nail gauge, outside of deji-pachi and pachi-slo types, and avoiding the more recent modern video screen-dominated machines. That covers about a 20 year period, from 1980 thru to 2000. Other pachis not completely complying with the above, but featured here anyway, are based on their interest level to me.
